It really comes down to a preference of whether you want to meet
with your therapist in-person or prefer the convenience of online.
Online sessions can also be used in conjunction with sessions in
the office - so sometimes we meet in my office when it is convenient
and other times online - we can work around what works best for you.
Online therapy can be a great option if you have difficulty getting
out of the office for appointments or just dread having to deal with
Another benefit is that no one sees you coming or leaving -You won't
risk running into clients or someone you may know in the waiting room.
Is online therapy right for me?
However, there are situations when online therapy is NOT the best option. We can discuss this during the initial consultation. And if we determine that online therapy would not be the best fit for you, you can meet with me in my physical office. If you are located father away, I can help you find a therapist closer to you that meets your needs.
What technology do I need?
All you need is:
An internet-connected computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera. Headphones are optional, but nice for added privacy.
A good internet connection - we don't want the risk of losing connection in the middle of significant work.
A comfortable place where you can talk in private without interruptions.
The system I use is HIPAA-complieant. There is no confusing software to download. No logins or passwords needed. How easy is that!
Due to current licensing restrictions, I can only provide online therapy to clients in Arizona and in Florida where I am registered as an out-of-state telehealth provider.
